The Edgerton School District is a medium sized district of about 1850 students PreK - 12+ in south central Wisconsin, located conveniently between Madison and Janesville. The role of the School Psychologist in the district is rooted in their involvement in the district's Multi-tiered System of Supports for students in the areas of academic, behavioral and emotional achievement. The School Psychologist is supported through several broader building and district level pupil services teams. Our School Psychologists work closely with staff teams to analyze data at the district, building, classroom and student levels in order to devise intervention and curricular programs to support students in their learning. They also have the opportunity to work with students individually or in small groups to support students' learning and achievement. Hiawatha Valley Education District is seeking two (2) talented, motivated School Psychologist positions. The vacant positions consist of the Chatfield School District and the Wabasha-Kellogg School District, both district located within the Education District. The Chatfield School District position is a .9 FTE to 1.0 FTE with 185 days per full-time contract year. The Wabasha-Kellogg School District position is a .6 FTE to 1.0 FTE with 185 days per full-time contract year. COMPETENCIES: (1) Must display competencies in school psychological testing and assessment and possess knowledge of academic and behavioral interventions. (2) Must demonstrate the ability to coordinate special education/section 504 services and comply with special education/section 504 rules and due process requirements. (3) Must be able to work in team decision-making situations. (4) Must possess counseling and consulting skills. (4) Must demonstrate knowledge of Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) (RtI/PBIS) and various evidence-based practices. Marathon County Special Education (http://www.mcspecialeducation.com/) Cancelled Danny Powers (EMAIL) & Kristin Jacobson Marathon County Special Education provides comprehensive special education services to six rural school districts with total populations ranging only from 500-700 students. Each district has a full time school psychologist who functions in a leadership capacity overseeing all aspects of special education. While typical school psychologist duties are part of the role and function in this position, the small district size allows for school psychologists to pursue other areas of interest such as RtI, counseling, mental health, etc.

We share a border with Appleton, WI, the largest city in the Fox Valley area. We have a School Psychology department of 6 full-time staff with a Director of Pupil Services supervisor who is also a school psychologist by training. We are big enough to have strong collegial relationships as a school psychology department, yet small enough to have a very meaningful impact on students, staff, and the district as a whole. They are also district-level leaders as we continue to expand our capacity to use data to better inform our practices when it comes to academic and social/behavioral learning for our students.
