Prior to joining DPI in August 2019, I have had the privilege of serving children, families and communities in a wide variety of roles, locations and settings. I have served as a School Psychologist, Autism Specialist, PBIS Coach and Director of Special Education & Pupil Services. I have experience working in a variety of Pre-K through 12th grade public education settings including traditional public schools, a Regional Education Service District (similar to a Wisconsin CESA), an Early Childhood Evaluation clinic, a Project Based Learning themed Charter School and an AMI Montessori Independent Charter School in urban, rural and suburban school districts spanning from Portland, OR to Washington, D.C. My family has now settled back “home” in Madison, WI where I live with my wife and two children. I am committed to supporting educators, families and School Psychologists across Wisconsin, promoting and advocating for the profession, and building and maintaining a strong partnership between WSPA and DPI.
